Reliability thanks to norms and standards
Many of our materials comply with known norms and standards. This guarantees our customers certain material properties and makes it easier to select the right material for a specific application. Common current standards are the European DIN EN 60893 for sheet material, the DIN EN 61212 for pipes, or the US NEMA LI 1, but VRI Composites can also offer corresponding withdrawn norms and standards such as DIN 7735 or ISO 1642.
Our own brands often exceed the required properties of the standards. If your requirements are very challenging and go beyond norms and standards, we also have a large selection of individual solutions in our program. Simply contact us about this.
Examples of our composite materials
EP GC 201
The material with the trade name Vetronite EGS 102 is a composite made of epoxy resin with a fine glass fabric as reinforcement. It corresponds to the quality EP GC 201 according to DIN EN 60893. It can be used as an electrical insulation material in high-voltage applications. Due to its chemical resistance, it can also be used in galvanic or chemical apparatus construction.
Our customers benefit from products along the entire value chain: from prepreg, to high-pressure laminates – also as tubes, to the machined component according to drawings.
FR-4
HGW 2082
Canevasite PF CC 201 is a cotton-phenolic composite material. This material combination is ideal for lubricated and self-lubricating sliding surfaces. The use of Canevasite reduces wear on components and friction losses. Due to these properties, our Canevasite products are materials highly suited for gears, plain bearings, ball bearing cages and slides and vanes in various types of pumps.
