Medical technology

The technical requirements for medical systems and devices have increased rapidly. Medical scanners must meet the highest standards for precise internal temperature control, freedom from vibration, performance, fire protection and X-ray resistance. Our high-performance products, specially developed for these purposes, are successfully used by well-known manufacturers and meet perfectly these diverse requirements.

Machine and equipment manufacturing

The requirements for composite materials in mechanical engineering are very diverse. Our wide range therefore includes solutions that are individually tailored to the respective applications. Depending on the task, our products are halogen-free, are characterized by high mechanical, thermal and chemical resistance, are flame-retardant, have very low frictions coefficients, are thermally insulating or have a very low density. E.g. high-precision ball bearing cages must withstand heavy loads at very high speeds. Slides and vanes require particularly low friction coefficients and a low coefficient of thermal expansion, very tight tolerances, mechanical strength at elevated temperatures and chemical resistance.
We offer our proven high-tech products for mechanical engineering purposes as tubes, laminates or machined parts in many different variants.

VRI Composites' products have been flying for many years. We have extensive experience in this demanding area of ​​application with our composite products – be it in the interior sector or for sensitive structural parts. Depending on the application, our products easily meet different requirements such as fire protection, electrical or mechanical properties. In addition to structural parts for seat row fixation, luggage storage and landing gear, we also offer solutions for electrical control cabinets or panels in the toilet and galley areas of commercial aircrafts.
Our latest revolution is the EP200 resin system for the NxtGen corefiller and NxtGen prepregs. Compared to phenol-based solutions, it impresses with its ease of processing, long storage stability at room temperature, and it is free from harmful substances such as anhydrides, phenols and solvents, making it particularly environmentally friendly.

Paper industry

In paper machines, doctor blades are used to clean the paper rollers. VRI Composites offers these blades in almost all material combinations. The decisive factor is always which combination is best suited for the respective position and function in the machine. As experts in composite materials, we cover the entire range – and can respond flexibly to special inquiries. We can offer glass, carbon and glass-carbon mixed structures. Our doctor blades protect the roller surfaces and achieve optimal cleaning results. High temperature resistance and chemical-mechanical resilience also ensure very low material wear.
In the past, our technically excellently equipped production facility has always been able to process all customer inquiries regarding the length of the rolls, cuts or edge processing to their complete satisfaction.

Defense & Security

VRI Composites also offers a variety of solutions for ​​ballistic protection purposes. Our products are characterized by outstanding ballistic values, excellent flame retardancy and very low density. This ideal combination of properties makes our materials suitable for mobile personal ballistic protection, as used in vests and helmets, but also in portable ballistic shields or as splinter protection in buildings and vehicles. Here too, we sell our products as prepregs, semi-finished products and finished components.

Thermal insulation

Thermal insulation not only makes processes more efficient and therefore more economical and environmentally friendly, but in most cases also increases product quality. This is due to better regulation and more even distribution of the process parameter “temperature”. This is particularly an advantage in injection molding, rubber and tire presses, but also in melting furnaces and in the glass industry.
Across these applications and beyond, VRI Composites' products stand out for their low thermal conductivity, exceptional mechanical strength, and excellent machinability.
